1 CORINTHIANS 1:9 - Berean Lamp Memory Verse - (May 16-23)

Posted by Nathan Warner on

The Berean Lamp Memory Verse for this week is:

“God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:9).

In this Memory Verse we're looking at Communion and its reflection on our relationship with Jesus - His faithfulness to us and our commitment to Him.

May we reflect often on our fellowship with Christ and His faithfulness to us.  May we also reflect on our faithfulness to Christ.  Even so,  Amen.

Other verses to consider:

“In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me’” (1 Corinthians 11:25).

“The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, Therefore I have hope in Him” (Lamentations 3:22-24).

“For the word of the Lord is upright, And all His work is done in faithfulness” (Psalm 33:4).

“Let the field exult, and all that is in it. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy Before the Lord, for He is coming, For He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness And the peoples in His faithfulness” (Psalm 96:12-13).

“I have chosen the faithful way; I have placed Your ordinances before me” (Psalm 119:30).

“Also righteousness will be the belt about His loins, And faithfulness the belt about His waist” (Isaiah 11:5).

“And I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness. Then you will know the Lord” (Hosea 2:20).

“While I was fainting away, I remembered the Lord, And my prayer came to You, Into Your holy temple. Those who regard vain idols Forsake their faithfulness, But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving. That which I have vowed I will pay. Salvation is from the Lord” (Jonah 2:7-9).

“He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the use of unrighteous wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you? And if you have not been faithful in the use of that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?” (Luke 16:10-12)

“A woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple fabrics, a worshiper of God, was listening; and the Lord opened her heart to respond to the things spoken by Paul. And when she and her household had been baptized, she urged us, saying, 'If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and stay.' And she prevailed upon us” (Acts 16:14-16).

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness” (Galatians 5:22).

“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-25).

“But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one” (2 Thessalonians 3:3).

“I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service” (1 Timothy 1:12).

“But Christ was faithful as a Son over His house—whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end” (Hebrews 3:6).

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful” (Hebrews 10:23).

“Therefore, those also who suffer according to the will of God shall entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right” (1 Peter 4:19).

“And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war” (Revelation 19:11).
